The assistant in nursing training program is based upon the Australian Qualifications Framework that require AIN’s to hold the minimum qualification of a Certificate III based upon the national competency standards of the Community Health Services.
As part of the health team the assistant in nursing staff support the enrolled and registered nurses. This support will include providing basic clinical care under the nurses direction. This clinical care can include taking blood pressure.
The assistant in nursing training program includes the basic science behind blood pressure and details the reasons why this is an important procedure in monitoring a patients health. The training will also include how to obtain the blood pressure readings and where to record those readings on the patient chart.
Often patients will require hands on assistance to maintain their hygiene and this means showering patients, drying them, hair care and oral hygiene. Part of the training will teach you how to set about this task in a proven way that maximises your time and achieves the desired outcome.

Good Day,
I wish to get a CNA certification (or anything relatively close to it).
I reside in Africa (but I have a High School Diploma – gotten from
Houston, Texas) and wish to enroll into one of your healthcare
programs.
However, I’m a bit perplexed – as I do not know if you accept
international applicants. Most of the programs I’ve seen, do not seem
to accept foreign applicants, why is this?
Kindly advice.
Thanks,
Charles
