Purpose
• Assist in the provision of a high standard of nursing care focused on individual resident/patient/client needs, under the supervision and direction of Registered and Enrolled Nurses.

• Cooperation with relevant health team members in relation to the provision of optimal patient care.

• Actively participating in a working environment which supports quality Human resource management practices, including Workplace Health and safety, Employment Equity, Anti-discrimination and ethical behaviour.
• Actively contributes to Quality Management activities and participates in meetings within the facility.
• Participate in the Performance, Appraisal and Development process.

Health professional roles involving delivery of health services to children and young people
All relevant health professionals (including registered nurses and medical officers) who in the course of their duties formulate a reasonable suspicion that a child or young person has been abused or neglected in their home/community environment, have a legislative and a duty of care obligation to immediately report such concerns to the Department of Child Safety.

All relevant health professionals are also responsible for the maintenance of their level of capability in the provision of health care and their reporting obligations in this regard.

Disclosure of Previous Employment as a Lobbyist
Applicants will be required to give a statement of their employment as a lobbyist within one (1) month of taking up the appointment.

Probation
Employees who are permanently appointed to Queensland Health may be required to undertake a period of probation appropriate to the appointment.

        I want get into the nursing field abceuse it is my ultimate goal to make a living by showing genuine compassion to people one-on-one. I also found out that my grandmother always wanted to be a nurse but couldn’t abceuse of being a full-time stay at home mom and not having enough money, so it would almost be like fulfilling a legacy! Do you find much time for your personal life as a nurse? Is it hard to not take? work home with you at the end of the night?
